The founder
Founded by Samna Ashraf
SAMNA was founded by Samna Ashraf, an alumna of the Lahore School of Fashion Design. The label grew out of a straightforward frustration: designer womenswear in Pakistan was either priced for a showroom or cut without much thought, and rarely both beautiful and wearable on an ordinary Tuesday.
Every print, panel and placement is developed in-house. Nothing is bought in and relabelled, which is why our collections stay small and why each design carries a point of view rather than a trend.
She also models every collection herself. The woman in these photographs is the one who drafted the pattern, so every fit is worn and judged on a real body before it reaches you.

Fit is graded properly across sizes rather than scaled up from a single sample, and seams are finished so the inside of a garment looks as considered as the outside. It is the kind of detail that does not photograph, and that you notice every time you wear it.

Sustainability at SAMNA is not a campaign. It is a consequence of how we work. Producing in small, local runs means very little dead stock, short supply lines, and fair, continuing work for the people who cut and stitch for us. We choose durable natural weaves over synthetics that look good for one season and then give up.
A SAMNA dress is meant to stay in your wardrobe for years, not months. That, more than anything else we could put on a label, is the sustainable choice.

Every design is photographed in detail so you can judge fabric, fall and colour before you buy, and every product page carries its own size chart. Delivery is complimentary across Pakistan and international shipping is available.
