Size chart by body measurement
The largest bust and hip each size takes, measured around your body, with at least 2 inches of room. Shirts use the bust only; suits and sets use both, so take the larger of the two sizes.

How to measure yourself

Bust
Stand straight with your arms relaxed at your sides. Pass a soft tape around the fullest part of your chest and keep it level across your back. It should sit flat against you without pulling tight.

Hip
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually about 20 cm below the waist. This is the figure that decides your trouser size.

Your waist
The chart below gives each trouser waist as a relaxed and an extended figure. The size finder works from your hip, which is what decides how a trouser sits. If your waist falls well outside the range for your hip size, message us before ordering.

Measure twice, over thin clothing
Take each measurement twice and use the larger. No tape measure? Use a piece of string, mark where it meets, and lay it against a ruler.
Garment measurements
The finished pieces, measured flat. A 3-piece suit and a 2-piece set use both tables below; a single-piece shirt uses the top table only, since it comes without a trouser.

Every figure is the finished garment measured flat. Width measurements (bust, waist, hip, thigh, armhole) are therefore half the way round, so double them to compare against your own body measurement. Lengths are measured straight down.

Measure a garment you already wear
The most reliable comparison is against a shirt or trouser you own and like the fit of. Lay it flat on a table, smooth out the creases, and measure straight across rather than over the curve.

Read the width figures as half the way round
Bust, waist, hip, thigh and armhole are all measured flat, so each figure covers half the body. Double it before comparing it against a tape measure taken around yourself.

Check the length last
Shoulder, sleeve and trouser lengths are measured straight down. Height varies more than width between women of the same size, so this is the figure most worth checking against something you own.
Sizing questions
How do I find my kameez size?
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, and your hip if the outfit has a trouser, then enter both in the size finder on this page. It matches them to our chart and gives you a size from XS to XXL, leaving at least 2 inches of room so the piece sits relaxed rather than tight.
What size is a 36 inch bust?
In SAMNA sizing a 36 inch bust is size S, and a 38 inch bust is size M. For a suit or set with a trouser, check your hip as well: if your hip measurement puts you in a larger size, choose the larger one.
How do I measure my bust for a kameez?
Stand straight with your arms down, pass a soft tape around the fullest part of your chest, and keep it level across your back. It should lie flat without pulling tight. Measure twice and use the larger figure.
Are Pakistani sizes the same as UK or US sizes?
Not reliably. Size labels vary from brand to brand in Pakistan as well as abroad, so compare measurements rather than letters. Many women find they are a size smaller in our relaxed cuts than their usual high-street label.
Can I enter my measurements in centimetres?
Yes. The size finder accepts inches or centimetres, and the body size chart on this page gives both.
What if I am between two sizes?
Our cuts are relaxed, so the smaller size usually works if you prefer a closer fit and the larger if you like room. We do not offer alterations, so if you are unsure, message us your measurements on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you honestly how the piece will sit.
