3-Piece Suits

A SAMNA 3-piece is a shirt, a matching trouser and a full-size dupatta, sold stitched and ready to wear. Nothing is sold unstitched and nothing needs to be paired from elsewhere: the three pieces are drafted together, so the print scale on the dupatta is set against the shirt rather than repeated at the same size, and the trouser is cut to sit under the shirt length rather than beside it.

The dupatta is a proper full width. It is the piece most often cut short elsewhere, because it is the cheapest place to save fabric, and it is the first thing that shows when a suit is worn rather than photographed.

Our 3-piece suits are cut in Cambridge cotton, a tightly woven, breathable cloth that holds a block print cleanly and keeps its colour through a season of real wear. It is heavier than lawn and drapes with more weight, which is what gives a 3-piece its fall rather than letting it cling.

Every piece is designed in-house in Lahore and produced in a single run. Nothing is bought in wholesale and relabelled, which is why a design that sells through is not reprinted.

Cuts run relaxed. The size chart on every product page gives the finished garment measured flat in inches, so width figures are half the way round: double them before comparing against a tape measure taken around yourself. Many women are comfortable a size down from their usual high-street size.

Alterations are not offered, so it is worth measuring a shirt you already own and like the fit of before ordering. If you are between sizes, write to us with your measurements and the design you are considering and we will tell you honestly how it will sit.
